I remember the words Gump said about Lieutenant Dan:“ I think he has got the peace with the God.” When Lieutenant Dan lost his legs, everything in his life had been changed, maybe that is his own life, he can’t accept it, so he made himself unhappy, shouting all the time, but when he finally realize those things are been doomed by the fate long time ago, he can’t change, he choose to accept, at that time he felt that he was that floating feather in the sky, maybe the dancing isn’t perfect anymore, but the most important thing is he was still there, dancing with the wind, floating in the broad, beautiful sky, and enjoying the endless views.
Some day, we realize we must face the foregone conclusion, what we can do? The Gump’s mother says:“don’t be care about the words that they are better than you, if the God wants every one equal, he should give the foot-hoop on every one’s feet.”
If you ask Jenny: “Are you feeling the welfare?” I think she will smile to you: “Yes. I am happy.” Because she had already got the true meaning of the life that just like the floating feather, enjoying the every moment of dancing, no matter floating down gradually.

It’s just like the Gump’s saying: “I don't know if Momma was right or if, if it's Lieutenant Dan. I don't know if we each have a destiny, or if we're all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze, but I, I think maybe it's both.” Where the feather comes from, falling down at the foot of Gump’s, where it will return, all of these have been doom. This is corresponding with the Gump’s understanding to life: we each have a destiny. On the other side, the feather floats around accidental, up and down, is just like the kinds of twists and turns in our lives. Also this is the Gump’s understanding to life that we're all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze. Maybe the feather is the whole understanding of Gump’s : I think maybe it's both.
The feather means every one of us, while the wind means the fate of imperceptibly but inexorably. Such as someone says：“one person, one fate. But whatever the fate the person has, there is always a brand on his soul, which marks where he came from, what in his blind, where he will go, his fate will be always under the control of the brand.”The life will be up and down, there are too many things hard to foresee, out of our control, when they are happening, just face them bravely, don’t be too willful, let it go on their own way, that’s it all.
When the wind blows you up into the sky, don’t be self-congratulatory, enjoying the beautiful views; when you begin to wave down from the high altitude gradually, don’t worry, enjoying the green lawn. Because having the up and down, you can see the different、wonderful views at different altitudes, taste the beauty of the life, have an insight into the life, otherwise it will be a imperfection or pity. You can’t request the wind blows you higher, also you can’t request the wind brings you to somewhere you want to be. Everything is random, hard to foresee, but because of these uncertainty, the life becomes unlimited.
I believe we all have our own fate, and most things in our life have been doomed, but I wish I will never ask why is this, because no one can answer me, just do what I can do, just use the things the God give me best, just enjoy my life, never mind whatever it is. I am here, so I am happy!
If everything has its own destiny, only we can do is enjoying the course, enjoying the welfare and tribulation, happiness and grief, leisure and vexation.
